Every year the HVCCC team members nominate charities for fundraising. This is an important way for us to connect with our community and focus on contributing to worthy causes. It was great to have a couple of members of our Capacity Planning team coordinate a fundraising lunch in support of Mission to Seafarers – Newcastle. We raised $1145 which HVCCC supplemented to donate a total of $2500 for Mission to Seafarers – Newcastle.
Mission to Seafarers (originating out of Newcastle to support people working on international marine vessels), which is celebrating 150 years in 2023, is a charity close to our hearts at HVCCC. The people working on these marine vessels are away from their homes and families for months, sometimes years, at a time. Mission to Seafarers supports the seafarers’ wellbeing and connection to their families.
