HVCCC's purpose and vision flow directly from our foundational Objects, reflecting our role within the evolving Hunter Valley Coal Chain and our commitment to serving our Members.
Our Objects
To plan and coordinate the cooperative operation and alignment of the coal chain in order to maximise the volume of coal transported through the coal chain, at minimum total logistic cost, in accordance with the agreed collective needs and contractual obligations of Producers and Service Providers.
Our Purpose
To independently optimise the end-to-end coal chain to best serve our Members' collective needs.
Our Vision
Leading supply chain coordination that is member-valued, technology-enabled and people-delivered
HVCCC was established in 2009 and has evolved significantly since its formation, as Industry members agreed to work together to create efficiencies in the coal chain which benefited all parties equally.
HVCCC is the only organisation taking in the end-to-end Hunter Valley Coal Chain view and working independently of any individual interests to optimise the performance of the entire supply chain.
HVCCC provides employees with an opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of the Hunter Valley coal chain. HVCCC has a sense of pride in its reputation as a leading, independent logistics organisation.
An optimised coal chain maximises throughput at minimum cost, while providing the flexibility for Members to leverage opportunities. Such a supply chain delivers excellence for the shared benefit of everyone, ensuring that systems and information are the best possible to serve the needs of each Member.”
